Best ever vegetarian burgers (burgurs) (patties), vegan, veggie burgers
Vegan burger recipe from scratch. Make the best ever vegetarian burger, fool the carnivores.. see if they can guess it's not meat! Change it to your specifications, by substituting lentils, chick peas, kidney beans, navy beans, whatever protein you would like.

EMI'S BEST VEGETARIAN BURGER:
½ cup whole wheat flour
1 cup rolled oats
1 Tablespoon granulated garlic
1 Tablespoon raw onion or dehydrated onion flakes
2 heaping Tablespoons parsley
1 tsp chili powder (adjust to your taste, 1 tsp will be spicy!)
½ teaspoon of cumin and ½ teaspoon oregano (optional, change to your favorite
½ tsp. salt and ½ tsp. pepper
Add protein of your choice. I added 1/2 cup mashed black beans, and 1/2 cup precooked quinoa.)
Add wet ingredients:
1 cup hot water
1 Tablespoon soy sauce (I used dark soya sauce, add extra if you use light)
1 Tablespoon canola oil
Mixture will be runny, add up to ¾ cup of extra flour, mixing until thick.
Heat canola oil in a skillet on medium high, drop by spoonfuls into the skillet, cook until browned, and easy to turn. Turn, cover, and cook for approx. 5 minutes. Place on paper towels to drain.
(These patties can be frozen. Separate with waxed paper, and freeze for further use.
They can be heated in the microwave, in a skillet, or on the barbecue.)
Assemble on a bun with your favorite toppings, and serve with my BEST EVER OVEN FRIES! Link:
